with extra caution. and the yellow on your screen does indicate some heavy rain. this could impact highway 17 shortly. >> we do have new instability in the atmosphere. there may be a powerful thunderstorm that may produce hail. the temperatures won't climb into the middle fifties. we should be dry as we head into tonight. i will have full details for tomorrow and beyond coming up. >> there is still no hot spots or major spots. here is a live look at traffic and it is heavy on the right side of your screen. we had an earlier problem near the toll plaza where a big breg rig lost its load.

people in connection with the death of a man who was one of the two people found bound and gagged on a san francisco street. police are not releasing details about the relationship between the suspects in the victims-- only that there were some kind of extensive relationship going on. they say, there are still many unanswered questions. the woman who has not been named, is still in serious condition but she is expected to survive. no word yet on when the five suspects, three women and two men, will be arraigned. >> we are hoping to learn more information today after two people and eight gunmen

were killed in a mall shooting near portland, oregon. police and witnesses say that the gunman was wearing a mask, camouflage clothing and a bulletproof vest when he opened fire yesterday afternoon at c lackamas town center, one of oregon's the biggest and busiest malls. along with the three deaths, another person is in critical condition. police say they have tentatively identified the shooter, but they have not release his name. no word yet on the mode of. >> apple has begun the early stages of television set testing. that is the word from the wall street journal this morning. foxconn is collaborating with the tech giant to test designs for a large-screen, high-

financial aid. the million dollar fund will be paid out over the next five to 10 years. san jose ranks near the top nationally and rising home prices. according to the federal housing finance agency, home prices jumped over 3.4% in the third quarter of 2011 and 2012. that is the fifth highest rise in the nation. cities that sought even higher increases included bakersfield, phoenix and boise.

>> we are back in 7:45 a.m.. the largest u.s. airlines had more cancel flights and delays in october. much of that is thanks to hurricane sandy that disrupted air travel lull with the skulls. airlines had 80 percent of their flights arrived on time in october. that's down 5% from october 2011. airlines canceled almost 3% of their flights compared to a 0.8% in october 2011. the cancellation rate was the highest for any october in the past 17 years. >> let's take a look is storm tracker 4 we're just thinking of light showers or around the bay. highway 4 over will pass is indicating light rain. it is not writing any more at the san mateo bridge but you will

is wednesday december 12th the bay area and nearby beaches are expecting the highest tide of the year. king tides, this week. we're live in pacifica. >> it looks like a lot of rain is pushing its way out. we are seeing clear conditions from our camera shots but storm tracker 4 is selling a different story. you can see light rain in and see acts of the willow past. of the lotus rededicate to home pretty heavy rainfall. it looks like over to tenths of an inch per rain in some spots. this will continue to push its way east. heavier rain in the san jose area right around the airport. that is impacting los gatos highway 17 so dry with extra caution there. this looks to be the
